Overview
I chose to create branding elements for one of my favorite artists, Gracie Abrams. Her music is soft, yet has an edge to it while her lyrics have deep meaning. I wanted my designs to embody the emotional depth and authenticity of her music, blending soft elements with bold details to reflect her unique style and lyrical vulnerability.
Research
To understand how I wanted to portray Gracie Abrams’ album “Minor,” I conducted some research about her history and who she is as a musical artist. Gracie is known for her emotionally raw lyrics, delicate vocals, and introspective sound that beautifully blends vulnerability with modern pop sensibilities.
Execution
Two different vinyl album covers, gig posters, and merch were designed to showcase the depth behind Gracie Abrams’ music by using numerous layers and distorted text. With the use of soft colors and pops of boldness, the elements illustrate the balance between delicacy and strength that defines Gracie.
